The Academy for Professional Excellence (the Academy) is part of San Diego State University (SDSU).   • Submit the Partner with Us form (name, work email, phone, job title, organization, organization type, services of interest and the details you share about your request)
  • Sign up for the Academy eNewsletter (email address and optional details such as name, organization, role and sector)
  • Contact us by email or phone

We use this information to respond to your request, connect you with the right Academy staff and, if you opt in, send you the Academy eNewsletter.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our site collects basic technical information when you visit, such as your browser type, device, pages viewed and how you arrived at the site. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. This information is reported in aggregate and is not used to identify you. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Our site uses cookies to keep the site working and to collect the analytics described above. You can set your browser to refuse cookies, though some parts of the site may not work as expected.

Email newsletter

Our eNewsletter is sent through Mailchimp. When you subscribe, your information is stored by Mailchimp under its privacy statement. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.

Training registration

Some training listings on our site link to Access PlanIt, the platform we use for course registration. Information you enter there is handled by Access PlanIt under its own privacy policy.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with Academy and SDSU staff who need it to respond to you, with service providers that help us run the site and our communications (such as our website host, Mailchimp and Google Analytics), or when required by law.

Links to other websites

Our site links to websites run by other organizations. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please review their policies when you visit.

Public records

As part of a California public university, the Academy follows the California Information Practices Act of 1977 and the California Public Records Act. Some information you send us may be subject to disclosure under those laws.
