Trainer Biography
Terrianne Palmer, LCSW
Ms. Palmer has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master of Arts in Education from the University of Redlands. She received her Masters Degree in Social Work from Loma Linda University in 1998. She became licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in California in 2012.
Prior to making a career change in 1994, Ms. Palmer worked in alternative education with at risk teenagers. Her social work career began in 1994 with San Bernardino County Department of Aging and Adult Services where she provided needs assessments for seniors and dependent adults. She moved to Children and Family Services in 1997 as a permanency planning worker, again working with high risk teens in group home placements and long term foster care settings. In 1998, she transitioned to emergency response providing crisis and emergency services to children and their families. She then moved to County Adoptions, writing home studies for relative caregivers and foster families and providing case management for adoptive families.
Ms. Palmer became a Supervising Social Service Practitioner with San Bernardino County Children and Family Services in 2001 and since that time has worked closely with community partners in enhancing services to families, including military families involved in the Child Welfare System.
In 2013, Ms. Palmer was in the first cohort of trainers for Safety Organized Practice in San Bernardino County and continues to provide SOP Module training to new line staff for CFS along with supporting implementation of San Bernardino County’s Core Practice Model strategies.
She is currently a Training Supervisor with System Resources Division for San Bernardino County.
