Continuing Education (CE) Process

CWDS offers continuing education credits for certain classes. Check the class flyer to determine if continuing education credits will be offered for a particular class.

The Academy is approved by the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists to sponsor continuing education for LMFTs, LCSWs, LPCCs and LEPs, Provider #91928. The Academy is approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider # BRN CEP15014; CCAPP-EI, Provider # 1S-98-398-0818 and 1S-16-253-0818, and CAADE Provider # CP10-906-C0317 and CP10-907-H0317. CE certificates will be available for download one week after course completion. The Academy maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

Depending on the training, continuing education may also be provided for nurses, psychologists, alcohol and drug counselors, lawyers and/or public guardians.

CE fees for CWDS training are free of charge.

No continuing education credits will be issued retroactively. The Academy’s CE provider agreement stipulates that participants cannot receive CEs if they are more than 15 minutes late to an in-person training or live webinar.

CE credits may be provided to a licensee of another state, if the licensing state accepts
CE credits from California. In this situation, the Trainee is responsible for contacting their licensing state to determine whether that state accepts California CE credits.

Grievances

While the Academy goes to great lengths to assure fair treatment for all participants and
attempts to anticipate problems, there may be occasional issues that come to the attention of
program staff, which require intervention and/or action on the part of the Academy. This
procedural description serves as a guideline for handling such grievances.
