Sophia M. Williams, MSW
Regional Manager for Riverside County
Sophia M. Williams received her BA in Psychology at the University of California, Riverside in 1993. She later received her MSW at Loma Linda University in 2019.
Mrs. Williams began her social work career in 1999 with Child Protective Service for the Department of Social Services in Riverside County. Since that time, Mrs. Williams has worked as a Social Worker, Team Decision Making Facilitator, Training Supervisor, Investigative Services Supervisor, Staff Development Officer and Independent Consultant for CWDS. She presently holds the position as a Regional Manager for Riverside County.
Mrs. Williams has trained child welfare staff, community partners and agency stakeholders on child development, child maltreatment, CORE 3.0, Mandated Reporting, Core Practice Model and Safety Organized Practice. She was one of the pioneers in implementing Team Decision Making Meetings in Riverside County. She continues to provide training in Simulation on all topics related to child welfare.
