Intended Audience: New and current child welfare personnel who want to advance their skills and knowledge about working with sexual offenders

Intended Objectives:

• To acquaint participants with the different types of sexual offenders and their common characteristics
• To provide participants with interview techniques that can help and/or hinder eliciting desired information from offenders
• To familiarize participants with assessment and treatment techniques utilized with sexual offenders
• To increase participants awareness of pertinent case management issues
