Intended Audience: This course is intended for social workers, supervisors and managers interested in learning about Safety Organized Practice and the development of safety networks when working with families
Description of Course: The course provides training on how to identify, develop and utilize a safety network to enhance the safety of children. It reviews how to use harm and danger statements and safety goals to clearly share information with safety networks and engage them in the safety planning process.
Intended Objectives:
- Review the purpose and uses of a safety network in social work practice
- Review examples of strategies for developing safety networks and utilizing them to create safety for children
- Understand the use of safety circles
