Intended Audience: Community Stakeholders, Youth and Family Advocates, and Court Personnel in Ventura County
Description of Course: In-person training of Safety Organized Practice (SOP) for County Stakeholders
Intended Objectives:
- Be able to identify the values of a safety organized approach to working with families
- Hear about many of the tools and strategies used by county social works to operationalize this practice
- Identify at least one way you will observe changes in your work with Ventura County
- Hear about early successes in other jurisdictions and understand how this practice support the Ventura and California Core Practice Models
Topics Include:
- Using Rigorous and Balanced Assessments to Support Child Safety
- Elevating Children’s Voices in Safety Planning
- Understanding Roles of Family Safety Networks
- Using Implementation Science to Support New Practice
