Trainer Biography
Stefanie Nieto Johnson, MSW
Stefanie Nieto Johnson, MSW, is an independent bilingual certified coach, trainer, and consultant working with organizations to improve Child Welfare practice at all levels. Ms. Nieto Johnson received her BS degree in Psychology from Santa Clara University and her MSW from the University of California, Berkeley. She has completed coach training through the Neuro-Leadership Institute and is a Certified Integrative Coach through the Ford Institute of Transformational Training.
Ms. Nieto Johnson currently works as a Coach supporting Supervisors, Management, and Executive Leadership. She also co-created and delivers the Art of Coaching training, supports the development of new coaches, and provides Safety Organized Practice coaching. Her current work also includes working on the California Partners for Permanency (CAPP) project, Field Advisor Training for Core 3.0, Team Decision Making coaching and support, and training for Safety Organized Practice.
Ms. Nieto Johnson previously was a trainer and technical assistant with the Resource Center for Family Focused Practice at UC Davis and with the Annie E. Casey Foundation and has trained and assisted jurisdictions with TDM implementation from Puerto Rico to Alaska. She has also served as Faculty on the California Disproportionality Project. Prior to consulting, she spent 10 years in Child Welfare with Santa Clara County including working as a Supervisor of TDM Facilitators; Bilingual TDM, Family Conference, Emancipation Conference, and Parenting Without Violence Facilitator; Concurrent Planning Specialist and Juvenile Court case carrying Social Worker.
