ICWA Core 3.0

ICWA for Core 3.0 is a suite of curricula that includes:

• 100 level e-learning
• Full-day classroom training
• Field activity
• 200 level e-learning
• ICWA references are also included in many other parts of the Core 3.0

This new Core 3.0 ICWA and Working with Native American Families and Tribes was designed with the intent to ensure participants learned about bias and historical context in addition to the law.

The curricula developed by Tribal STAR builds on the experience of the Tribal STAR program in providing training to state and county social workers for over 10 years. These trainings intend to encourage increased collaboration between tribes, Tribal communities, county child welfare, and courts to improve outcomes for Indian children and families.
