SAFETY PLANNING FOR FAMILIES WITH INFANTS

Credits:       6

 Intended Audience: This course is intended for Child Welfare staff at all levels.

Description of Course: This course utilizes lecture, small group activities, and discussions

Intended Objectives:

  • Identify specific safety threats (dangers) to infants with whom they work during safety planning;
  • Make rigorous safety plans with families with infants;
  • Use specific strategies for enhancing family participation in safety planning; and
  • Supervise, coach, and promote continuous quality improvement for this work going forward.
