Trainer Biography
Aleida Murcia, MSW, LCSW
Aleida Murcia holds a master’s degree in Social Work with concentration in Child Welfare, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino. She is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. She worked for the Department of Children and Family Services (CFS), San Bernardino County, for more than seven years as a child welfare worker and supervisor. She is an adjunct professor for Brandman University and currently works for Kaiser Permanent as a medical social worker.
She also has experience training volunteers for local non-profit organizations. She worked with Amigos de Jesus Catholic Foundation for more than seven years. She created and provided workshops to members of this organization in the areas of social services, mental health services, human development, and program development. She volunteered for the non-profit organization Safe Harbor Christian Institute for several years. As part of her service through this organization, she conducted several workshops and parenting classes for the community and provide mental health services to people in need. She is part of the board of directors for the Nuevos Horizontes Foundation. She loves dancing, reading, hiking, meditating, and traveling. She enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys teaching and motivating others to achieve their dreams.
