Trainer Biography
Jennifer L. Andrews-Burke, LCDR, USPHS
Jennifer Andrews-Burke, LCSW, ACSW, BCD received her Bachelor of Social Work from Pacific Union College in 1996 and her MSW from Sacramento State University in 1996. In 2003 she became licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in California.
She began her social work career as a working in public child welfare as a court worker, ongoing case manager and emergency response supervisor from 1998-2004. After becoming licensed Jennifer maintained a small after hour’s private practice and worked part-time as a radio talk show host offering advice and commentary from 2003-2007. In 2004 she joined the Bay Area Academy as a Training Specialist.
Jennifer is currently serving as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Public Health Service. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker she works with military members, veterans and their families. She also supervises social work residents. She is trained and certified in evidence based treatment modalities for PTSD. Before transferring to her current assignment Jennifer served as a Major in the United States Air Force.
She maintains a part time private practice working with individuals, couples and children. Jennifer trains in the military and in the public sector on a number of topics relating to mental health and issues in the workplace. She is a former foster parent.
Jennifer currently lives in the Napa Valley with her husband and six children.
