Laurel Brown, MSW

Dr. Laurel Brown has over 20 years of experience in the child welfare field. Dr. Brown obtained her MSW from the State University of New York, and completed a doctorate degree in Social Policy and Social Research at Loma Linda University.

She has been a social worker, supervisor, manager and recently retired as deputy director with Riverside County’s Children’s Services Division. She has been a trainer and social work educator for more than 15 years and has taught courses including line worker and supervisor core, concurrent planning, cultural competence in child welfare, multi- ethnic placement act and other advanced courses.
