Trainer Biography
Scott Johnson, LAC
Scott Johnson is a Licensed Addiction Counselor. He provides therapy, consultation and seminars on an international basis.
Mr. Johnson recently established the Certified Addiction Counselor’s Association of Japan, which is the first program of its kind in that nation. Mr. Johnson is a trainer for the Academy for Professional Excellence. He offers trainings for CPS Social Workers and other professionals.
Recently he authored three e-learning seminars titled “Methamphetamine and the Child Welfare System” “Addiction and the Family” and “Substance Abuse and Mature Populations” available through the Public Child Welfare Training Academy. His new book, “Healthy Life, Healthy Grief” was published in Japan in 2010.
For seven years, Mr. Johnson worked for Child Protective Services, Riverside County. For nine years, Mr. Johnson worked at the Betty Ford Center and was their first full time, Children’s Addiction Counselor.
He has presented hundreds of seminars and lectures throughout the United States, Mexico and Japan. He has devoted the past 30 years of his life to the service of children and families who suffer from addiction, codependency and abuse.
