Trainer Biography
Gabriel Núñez-Soria
Gabriel Núñez-Soria, born and raised in San Diego, earned his bachelor’s degree in cultural and social anthropology from Stanford University, and his teaching credential and master’s degree in education and counseling from San Diego State University. He is currently in the third year of the PhD in education for social justice program at the University of San Diego. Gabriel has over 18 years of service in education, as a tutor, teacher, lead teacher, assistant principal, and principal. Gabriel has been running trauma-informed and resilient programs and systems aimed at developing and maintaining empowering and humanizing spaces for over a decade. He has been facilitating training and learning sessions specifically on trauma-resilience with schools and other non-profit agencies and entities for over three and half years. Gabriel’s core values inspire him to increase wellness and equitable social outcomes via the development and implementation of healing-centered culturally sustaining and community responsive pedagogies and practices. Gabriel is currently serving as the Director of the Trauma-Resilient Educational Communities (TREC) department for Lifelong Learning Administration’s (LLAC) network of public schools and nonprofits.
