Honorable Ana Espana
Ana España is the Presiding Judge of the San Diego County Juvenile Court. She has presided over juvenile cases since January 2018. Prior to her appointment to the bench in 2008, Judge Espana represented children and youth in both the juvenile justice and child welfare systems. Currently she oversees the JFAST (Juvenile Forensic Assessment Stabilization Treatment) and Dual Status collaborative courts. She is a member of the California Advisory Committee on Family and Juvenile Law Advisory Committee as well as several local court and community committees working to address the needs of children, youth, and families involved in the juvenile court.
