Dawn Gibbons-McWayne

Dawn Gibbons-McWayne, MSW, LCSW

Dawn Gibbons-McWayne is the Program Manager for the Adult Protective Services Workforce Innovations (APSWI) program. APSWI provides competency-based multidisciplinary training to Adult Protective Services workers and their partners.

Ms. Gibbons-McWayne has a Master of Social Work degree and is licensed as a clinical social worker (LCSW). She has over 20 years of experience working with and on behalf of older adults and adults with disabilities. She worked for 14 years in the County of San Diego’s Adult Protective Services (APS) program as an APS Specialist and as a Supervisor.

Ms. Gibbons-McWayne is a great advocate for Adult Protective Services staff and for the continued advancement of the field and is considered a subject matter expert regarding Adult Protective Services matters.
