Trainer Biography
Rhonda Brown, MSW
Rhonda Brown, MSW, is an independent trainer, coach, and consultant. Rhonda earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Chico State University and her Masters degree in Social Work from Monmouth University, West Long Branch, New Jersey.
Over the past twenty years, Rhonda has worked in a variety of settings in social work with the majority of this time in Child Welfare arena. Rhonda volunteered for AmeriCorps working with at risk youth, with the American Red Cross supporting victims of 9/11 as an Outreach Specialist providing prevention services to elementary age youth and their families.
In addition to this work, Rhonda was employed with the Butte County Children and Family Services as well as Ventura County Children and Family Services as a social worker, supervisor, and a program administrator working both directly with youth and families as well as in the training and support of social workers.
Most recently, Rhonda was a trainer for Central California Training Academy as well as a Field Based Trainer and Coach supporting practice in Ventura County. Within these roles, Rhonda continues to share her passion for strength based family engagement, Safety Organized Practice, Family Group Decision Making and Team Decision Making.
