Trainer Biography
Taryn Massey, MS
Taryn Massey graduated from Chaminade University in Honolulu in 2008 with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology. She is currently a Lead Child Welfare Social Worker with the Ventura County Social Services Agency, Children and Family Services.
In 2009, she joined Ventura County’s Human Services Agency as an eligibility worker and received a promotion to Child Welfare Social Worker in 2012. She has experience in the areas of Family Reunification, Family Maintenance, Permanency, Step-Parent Adoptions, Freedom From Adoptions, Lead Trainer for the Ongoing Training Unit, and is currently the Wendy’s Wonderful Kids recruiter for Ventura County.
Ms. Massey became an early adapter of Safety Organized Practice (SOP) while working as a Social Worker in Ventura County. She has provided SOP trainings within Ventura County Children and Family Services, as well as training for community partners including Behavioral Health Clinicians and Court personnel.
