Blaire Ehret, Ph.D
Blaire Ehret, Ph.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in suicide prevention and providing clinical services to Veterans living with psychosis. She works at the VA San Diego Healthcare System and sits on the board of directors of Survivors of Suicide Loss, San Diego. She is also an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Diego. Her research has been published in domestic and international journals, as well as covered in the popular press, such as NPR.
Prior to her work in San Diego, she was Teaching Faculty in the Masters of Clinical Psychology program at Antioch University, Santa Barbara. Dr. Ehret has provided over 50 presentations and trainings to the research and clinical communities on various topics spanning suicide prevention, trauma, self-care, and psychosis. In addition to her clinical, teaching, and research expertise, she was a national leader within the American Psychological Association of Graduate Students. In her role, she represented and advocated for psychology students’ education and training, as well as worked with national policymakers to make significant contributions to the field of psychology.
