Trainer Biography
Shannon Nosenzo, LMFT
Shannon Nosenzo completed San Diego State University’s Community Based Block program earning an equivalency MA in Education with a specialization in multicultural counseling. She went on to complete an MS in Counseling with specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy. Shannon’s early career involved direct service, clinical supervision and program management for youth and family services across the continuum of care.
Shannon transitioned to the adult system of care as a program manager. She led outpatient and peer-driven teams. Currently, Shannon supports ACT level services with management and supervisory responsibilities. After 16+ years of serving the community in public mental health settings, Shannon transitioned to private practice where she continues to serve a culturally diverse community. Shannon is committed to providing accessibility in behavioral healthcare and clinical supervision through telehealth, home and school-based services.
Shannon earned her designation as an AAMFT supervisor to develop and oversee training programs for multidisciplinary students from local universities. She mentors developing CAMFT and AAMFT supervisors. Shannon taught graduate level practicum for the SDSU LPCC program and facilitated lectures on person-centered therapy, trauma informed care and law and ethics. She has also trained educational and youth WRAP teams on trauma informed care. Shannon is a member of the San Diego Trauma Informed Guide Team.
