Trainer Biography
Jessica Empeño, MSW
Jessica Empeño is a medical social worker with over 20 years’ experience in dementia, caregiver support, hospice, and care of the seriously ill. In addition to direct service with individuals and families, Jessica specializes in program development, organizational leadership, creative and collaborative problem solving, and process improvement. She is also focused on continued education; whether working with student interns, teaching professionals, or developing training materials, she is committed to helping others build knowledge and skill.
Jessica received her Master of Social Work from San Diego State University (2001) and a certificate in Health Law and Policy from the University of Arizona (2019). She is currently the Director of Strategic Development with LightBridge Hospice and Palliative Care, where she supports clinical services while expanding access to care for the seriously and terminally ill.
