Trainer Biography
Mary Ellen Baraceros
Mary Ellen Baraceros is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has a Master of Social
Work from San Diego State University and a Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and
Social Behavior from University of California, Irvine. She has practiced social work in a
variety of settings, roles, and populations, which has provided extensive experience
working with childhood trauma, co-occurring disorders, and other complex behavioral
health challenges. Mary Ellen provides clinical supervision to license-eligible BBS
associates and is a Field Instructor for graduate level social work programs.
Mary Ellen is currently the Regional Director for Pathways in San Diego County. In this
role, she provides administrative and clinical oversight of five county-contracted
programs: school-based program, prevention and early intervention services for children
and TAY, support and referrals for first responders, clubhouse services for TAY, and
ACT services for TAY. Mary Ellen has been involved with CADRE since 2014 and has
been committed to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and substance use.
