Trainer Biography

Krystal M. Glowack, MA

Krystal Glowack has ten years of experience working with troubled and at risk youth in a variety of settings. Ms. Glowack graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2004 with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology of Law.  In 2005 she started working with troubled youth in a correctional and treatment setting as a Juvenile Correctional Officer.  During this time, Ms. Glowack was certified in the cognitive and behavioral change curriculum, Thinking for a Change and facilitated this curriculum to the juveniles.  In 2008 Ms. Glowack, obtained a Masters of Arts degree in Criminal Justice Human Services from Concordia University St. Paul while working as a Juvenile Correctional Officer.  She was then promoted to working with adults in the Department of Corrections.

Ms. Glowack’s career took a change when she moved to San Diego, California in 2009.  She started working as a Residential Care Worker and not long after promoted to a Protective Services Worker for Child Welfare Services in San Diego County.  Ms. Glowack has work experience in the Emergency Response, Continuing, Court Intervention, and Adoptions programs.  She was promoted to a Senior Protective Services Worker in Adoptions and has acquired many leadership skills during this time.

Ms. Glowack has had additional roles in her time at the Child Welfare Agency.  She was a Military Liaison for the East County Region and is currently a Developmental Evaluation Clinic Liaison to Rady Children’s Hospital.

In addition to Ms. Glowack’s work experience, she has a wide diversity in trainings, but is very passionate about Safety Organized Practice.  In 2012 she completed the Safety Organized Practice modules and has been using this practice and teaching it to others since this time.  She has participated on Safety Organized Practice panels representing San Diego County.  She is also certified in Motivational Interviewing, and completed the Offender Employment Specialist and Adoption and Permanency Curriculum.  Ms. Glowack is the process of completing a Leadership Development Series training for San Diego County.
