Savannah Taylor

Savannah Taylor, MSW

Savannah Taylor holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from California State University, San Bernardino, and has over 10 years of experience working with children and families. Mrs. Taylor began her career in 2005 as a member of the Student Attendance Review Board (SAARB) for the Corona Unified School District. She then became a Social Worker for the Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) in San Bernardino, CA where she worked as a Practitioner for 8 years. In 2013, Mrs. Taylor transitioned to the San Bernardino Juvenile Dependency Court as a Court Officer, where she primarily acts as a liaison between the Court and DCFS.

Mrs. Taylor specializes in DCFS case management, court reports, and helping Social Service Practitioners understand the overall expectations of Juvenile Dependency Court.
Mrs. Taylor is also the author of 10 Things Every 10th-Grade Girl Should Know. In it, she discusses the top 10 things that affect the lives and legacies of young women ages 15-17 based on academic research, professional experience, and working with various youth ministries for over 15 years. Topics include how to slay academic dragons, life after high school, managing relationships, and what to expect during the young adult years.

Mrs. Taylor has spoken at numerous conferences, and has led several auxiliaries over the years that highlight her passion in this area. Her vision is to equip generations of young women at the most critical time of their lives, so that the dysfunctional cycles that tend to plague many can be broken. 10 Things Every 10th-Grade Girl Should Know is available on Amazon.com, Barnes&Noble.com, and wherever books are sold.

Mrs. Taylor is also a Naval Veteran, and is fluent in American Sign Language. She is married with two children, and lives in the San Bernardino area.
