Trainer Biography
Mayumi Yamanaka Douglass, M.S.
Mayumi Yamanaka Douglass, M.S. is originally from Cuernavaca, Mexico, where she completed her undergraduate work, as well as specialized training in humanistic psychotherapy. She is a licensed psychologist in Mexico by the Autonomous University of Morelos State.
She moved to San Diego, CA in 2004 and completed the M.S. in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy at San Diego State University (2004-2007). She has been an AAMFT approved clinical supervisor since 2014, with experience working in private practice, schools, social service agencies, community college, and as a lecturer with the SDSU MA in Education with a concentration in Counseling.
