Trainer Biography
Tim Ware
Tim Ware studied Public Administration at the University of Southern California before embarking on a career in School Safety. He is certified as a trainer of trainers for the Comprehensive School Threat Assessment Guidelines model developed by Dr. Dewey Cornell. He currently serves as Coordinator for School Safety and Security for the San Diego County Office of Education. He has provided intensive training to educators and law enforcement personnel in the area of Behavior Threat Assessment, Situational Awareness, Emergency Management and other critical school safety procedures.
In addition to supporting the students and staff of San Diego County’s forty-two school districts, Ware is an accomplished speaker on school safety. He is a founding member of the School Threat Assessment Team of San Diego County. This is a multi-disciplinary team charged with enhancing public safety and assisting juveniles in need of a myriad of social services. He is a current member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals. Mr. Ware’s wealth of knowledge in School Safety and Security acquired as a Deputy Probation Officer for both juveniles and adults and 20 years serving as School Intervention Manager in the Public School System has prepared him well for the challenges found in today’s world of school safety. His experience in school safety includes developing Emergency Operation Plans, Crisis Response and building highly effective school safety teams. He is well respected for his work in coordinating prevention, response and recovery efforts with Law Enforcement and San Diego’s Military Community.
