Ellen Perez is a Practice Consultant for San Bernardino County and has worked as a social worker or supervisor for the last 20 years in the field of mental health, foster care and adoption, and child welfare. Mrs. Perez received her M.S. in Counseling Psychology from California Baptist University in 2004.
Mrs. Perez began her career in 2001 at Loma Linda University Behavioral Medicine Center working as a Counselor for the Inpatient Child and Adolescent units and at Canyon Ridge Hospital in the Admissions Department for the Inpatient and Outpatient mental health programs. In 2003, she began working with a non-profit Foster Family Agency in San Bernardino, California, and remained there nearly 11 years. During this time she provided case management, adoption matching coordination, clinical adoption home study assessments, and facilitated foster parent training events. In late 2015, she began working for San Bernardino County as a Social Service Practitioner and promoted to the position of Supervisor; and, in that position she provided training and staff development of new workers, as well as oversight for a unit of Social Service Practitioners who carried permanency planning, family reunification, and family maintenance caseloads. Mrs. Perez joined the Academy in 2019 as a Practice Consultant.
