Can you briefly tell us about your role and impact within the Academy for Professional Excellence?
I joined the Academy as a contractor in July of 2017 as the coordinator for the Academy’s APEX program.
I am currently a Learning Experience (LX) Designer. As part of the LXD Team, I write, design, program, narrate, and quality-check eLearning and microlearning courses.
What do you enjoy the most about working at the Academy?
I get to work with amazingly talented people who genuinely care about my professional and personal growth. Without the attention and dedication of my managers, and the culture of development that supports them, I would not have had the opportunity to grow into my current role.
How has working at the Academy transformed your career and/or life?
My work at the Academy has influenced my career path; before coming here, I held a number of different jobs at many different organizations, but the work I do here has helped me define the path I want my career to take. I’m energized by the work and excited about the future.
What is a fun fact we should know about you?
I have a finished treehouse in my backyard, complete with glass windows, a sliding door, electricity, and a bed.
